NOMINATIONS TERMS AND CONDITIONS
An award category sponsor cannot apply for an award in the same category that they are sponsoring. However they may apply and are eligible to win in other award categories.
Previous winners can apply for the same award category in consecutive years but it must be for a different or new project.
A/AA board member companies can apply for awards and will be excluded from voting on that particular award category, but they are eligible to win if voted to be successful by the judges.

DISTINGUISHED LEADERSHIP AWARD
This award recognises an individual who has excelled as an effective leader either in business, training, safety, policy or other role. The award aims to promote the qualities that make a leader stand out - integrity, trust, passion, vision and inspiration.
Criteria and Eligibility
Minimum 10 years in a sector.
Demonstrated significant leadership in an initiative that supports the future and/or growth of the Aviation or Aerospace sector in Australia.
Judging process
The winning entry will be selected by a panel comprised of representatives of the A/AA Board of Directors and industry leaders
Any conflicts of interest will be declared at the commencement of the selection process

EXCELLENCE IN INNOVATION AWARD
This award highlights the unique factors that have made our Australian industry a leader in world aviation and aerospace innovation. The award recognises an innovative project developed in Australia, whether in a commercial setting or a research laboratory, that helps enhance our international reputation for progressive applied thinking.

Progress a new idea, technology or process to successful implementation in Aviation or Aerospace sector.

OUTSTANDING LEADERSHIP IN TRAINING AWARD
This award recognises and celebrates dedication and excellence in the aviation and aerospace training sectors in Australia or Internationally.
Criteria and Eligibility
Demonstrated leadership and initiative in achieving increased quality and results in a training sector including but not limited to pilot training, engineering or education.
Can be an individual, team or company.
Minimum 10 years in the aviation or aerospace training sector
May be an Australian providing training overseas or Australian based training

The winning entry will be selected by a panel comprised of representatives of the A/AA Board of Directors and industry leaders

This award recognises a unique strategy to accelerate the progression towards a more well balanced industry through attracting and retaining a diverse workforce.
Criteria and Eligibility
A company in the aviation or aerospace sectors or a global company with operations in Australia
Demonstrate the successful development and implementation of a diversity strategy, which has increased gender diversity in their organisation
Judging process
The winning entry will be selected by a panel comprised of representatives of the A/AA Board of Directors and industry leaders

WOMEN IN AVIATION AEROSPACE OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT IN THE AVIATION AND AEROSPACE SECTORS
This award recognises a woman who has excelled in her chosen career with in the Australian aviation or aerospace sector.
Criteria and Eligibility
Must be female
Minimum of seven (7) years work experience in the Australian aviation or aerospace sectors
Demonstrates a proven capability in the chosen sector
Describe the positive outcomes that have been achieved whilst working in the sector

This award recognises a young professional (under 35) who has excelled in their chosen aviation or aerospace sector.

This award recognises an individual who has excelled as an effective advocate in their organisation with consideration to the successful inclusion of women, minorities and cultures in the aviation and aerospace industries in Australia. The award aims to acknowledge the qualities that make a leader stand out when promoting equality in our sector.
Criteria and Eligibility
Minimum 10 years in a sector.
Demonstrated significant leadership that supports the inclusion and diversity in the aviation and/or aerospace workplace in Australia.
Judging process
The winning entry will be selected by a panel comprised of representatives of the A/AA Board of Directors and industry leaders.
